Christina Boucher

I bring a rare perspective to design. I was raised in a small village in the desert of New Mexico in a passive solar home designed and built by my father. This was my introduction to architecture and how it shapes the way a family lives.

I trained in classical and traditional architecture at The University of Notre Dame and designed luxury residential projects in Florida, the Caribbean, and around the United States. I returned to Notre Dame to pursue an MBA, followed by time at a Fortune 20 company.

I believe good design begins with listening — to the land, to the light, and to the life someone wants to build.

Portfolio

This portfolio covers two chapters of my design life: five years of undergraduate student work at The University of Notre Dame and five years of luxury residential work at The Associates Studio. After five years of intentional growth — pursing an MBA at The University of Notre Dame and leadership development at Ford Motor Company — I am returning to design practice with a unique skillset most architects do not have: equal fluency in design, business strategy, and executive leadership.

Home Renovation

I purchased my 1952 house in 2017 and was aware it would need a full renovation. Prior to signing, my realtor recommended I watch The Money Pit with Tom Hanks because older homes are full of surprises. He was right!

I hired a contractor to complete most of the renovation work in 2018, and have hired subcontractors as needed for specific projects since then. The renovation includes everything in the home except the foundation, exterior walls, most interior walls, roof trusses, oak flooring, and ductwork. Explore specific rooms and their materials below.
