Bed & Breakfast & Artist Residency

Hospitality has always been one of my quiet callings. I love welcoming people into a space that feels calm, thoughtful, and restorative. Spaces where you can arrive as you are and feel at ease almost immediately. This future stay is being imagined as a place to slow down, to breathe more deeply, and to experience the kind of rest that comes from feeling safe, seen, and unhurried. My hope is to offer a home that feels both grounding and expansive, where the nervous system can settle and the mind can wander again.

In time, this space will also serve as a quiet artist and writer retreat, welcoming guests for intentional stays. Beginning with one week, and eventually offering longer residencies, this will be a place designed for focused, gentle creative work: writing, thinking, reading, and making in ways that honor stillness and respect shared space. It’s envisioned for those seeking solitude, clarity, and uninterrupted time to work on something meaningful. If this kind of retreat speaks to you, I invite you to check back as the vision continues to take shape.

Travel Tales

Travel has shaped the way I see the world and the way I move through it. I grew up in the desert of New Mexico, where books were my first passport and stories were how I learned about places beyond the village. The woman who helped care for me as a child traveled widely and filled my imagination with stories of other countries, languages, and ways of life. By the time I left the United States for the first time to study architecture in Rome during my third year of undergrad, the desire to see the world was already woven into me.

My year abroad was the beginning of a lifelong relationship with exploration. Living in Italy opened the door to traveling across Europe during school breaks, and I have continued returning ever since to walk ancient cities, study architecture, wander museums, and learn through lived experience. Over time, my travels have expanded from student trips with friends to solo journeys which have strengthened my confidence and deepened my trust in both myself and the kindness of others. Beginning the Camino walk alone, exploring Scandinavia solo, and navigating unfamiliar places has shown me that the world is far more welcoming than we are often led to believe.

This page is where I share stories, lessons, and practical details from each place I visit. I share what moved me, what surprised me, what I would do again, and what I would do differently. For me, travel is not escape; it is education, perspective, humility, and wonder. It reminds me how much beauty exists, how many ways there are to live, and how connected we all truly are. My hope is that these stories encourage you to be curious, to go somewhere new (even if you go alone), and to discover firsthand the world is richer and kinder than fear would have us believe.

In total, I have spent more than 400 days living and traveling abroad.
