The Bahamas 2018

I traveled to the Bahamas for work, visiting a client property in Lyford Cay. We flew from Vero Beach, spent the morning reviewing the site, and had lunch at the local club with plans to return that same day. When we climbed in the plane to head home, the engine wouldn’t start, so we filed back out an spent some time at the airport until we learned a part would need to be flown in overnight and the plane repaired the first thing in the morning.

When we checked into a very nice hotel I remember the receptionist looking at me, the firm owner, and the pilot and asking if we wanted one room or….? The firm owner quickly clarified we needed three rooms and toiletry kits because we had not planned to stay overnight. She handed us small kits and we freshened up in our rooms before meeting for dinner. That night was the first time I ever used a hotel robe and I washed my clothes and put them over the AC to dry by the next morning.

We flew home the next day without any issue, and I was captivated by the blue water.
